Your Child’s Key Person and Learning Journey
At Sheffield Nursery, we provide a safe, sensory-rich, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential.
Our highly qualified and experienced staff team work together to provide childcare and education that enables children to become confident individuals.
We understand that parents and carers need peace of mind that their children are being cared for in a safe and secure environment. That’s why our nurseries have been designed with the latest security features, and our staff undergo regular training to ensure they’re always up-to-date with best practice. We know that accidents happen, so we always have a dedicated team of first aiders on site.
Experienced staff for each age group
Our team of experienced childcare professionals provide a safe and nurturing environment in which your child can explore, learn, and grow. The staff cover all the areas of learning together within the EYFS framework, which runs from birth to 5 years old.
Our staff plan lots of fun activities for our children, based on their learning stage, personalities, abilities, and interests.
Some of the things that your child will get up to in our care include:
- Listening to stories
- Making new friends
- Exploring the world around them through investigation and play
- Developing their communication and language skills
- Building and construction
- Expressive art/design
- Problem solving and early-stage maths
- Early-stage literacy
Yellow Room
for children aged 6 months to 2 years
Blue Room
for children 2 – 3 years
Red Room
for children 3 – 5 years
Each room is equipped with age-appropriate toys and activities to help your child develop providing a great place for children to explore, experiment and have fun.
There is a sensory room for small group activities or just to spend some quiet time in. The room is full of different textures, smells and sounds to stimulate the senses. It's a calm and relaxing space where children can feel safe and secure. It's also a valuable tool for helping children to develop their sensory processing abilities.
We respect your child’s age stage and celebrate their development and will move them through the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS) as and when they are ready.
Children’s Library
The children's library is a great resource for parents who are looking for ways to encourage their children to read more. The library can also offer other resources such as story time sessions and activities that can help kids learn to love reading.
Our Parent’s Forum
We are fortunate to have a vibrant and active parent and carer community. At our Parents' Forum, you will be able to share feedback, listen to other parents’ ideas and learn from our specialist guest speakers including speech and language therapists who can offer invaluable insights into how they work with children on specific needs.
School Holidays
During the school holidays we can take school children up to 7 years old. We plan lots of different activities during this time including arts and crafts activities and outings.
